Originally from Southern California, Nessa moved up to The San Francisco Bay Area to attend The University of California at Berkeley. Nessa started at KYLD WiLD 94.9 in San Francisco as an intern while attending school. She then commuted weekly from The Bay Area to Los Angeles to work for KPWR Power 106 to do the “West Coast Report”. After making a name for herself in both markets with various on- air reports and shifts, Nessa began to be an on- air personality at Energy 92.7 in San Francisco for a short time. Gaining more popularity, she returned to WiLD 94.9 as an over-night on-air jock. She then accepted a position as the night- show jock for 101.5 JAMZ in Phoenix. After being in Phoenix, she returned to The Bay Area where she is now the host of the night show on KYLD WiLD 94.9.

Before jumping in radio in 2005, Nessa took her passion for music and created a remix to Destiny Child’s Soldier entitled Rydaz that gained her more fans. This passion came from a young age, where her family relocated back and forth from the U.S. and the Middle East due to her father’s job. At six years old, Nessa was present during the Gulf War. “Here is the thing, I was a young girl fearing for my life-I wore gas masks to school, I heard war sirens constantly and I knew at this point I had to break out of this lifestyle.”

Currently, Nessa can be heard in over 25 markets including San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Phoenix, Detroit, and many more. She is also currently a host on MTV 2’s Week In Jams every Sunday and continues to work with MTV on various projects.
